Small family run pastry shop just one street away from Studio Rose. Their best pastry is "nagymama krémes" (grandma's creamy pastry). They also serve a great "flódni" (traditional Yiddish (Eastern European Jewish) layered cake with poppy seeds, walnuts, apples, raisins and plum jam.

Really good place to have breakfast, or a coffe with classic hungarian sweets and also ice cream in summer.

Well, it is by no means the trendiest place in town - quite the opposite but this is where its charm lies. A very traditional patisserie at the corner of Lövölde tér - which reminds me of my childhood. Traditional Hungarian cakes, ice cream by scoop and delicious savory pastries called "pogácsa" (like savory scones). It is also next to a playground so a perfect afternoon out with the kids while you are staying in our flat which is only a minute away from this spot.
