Think of Minoru Park as ... Stanley Park in Downtown Vancouver, or Central Park in NYC... But this is Minoru Park in Richmond.

A Park For All Reasons This is a 45 acre multi-use facility in downtown Richmond, adjacent the City Hall and one of the mojor shopping centres. Also close to Skytrain. I have been familiar with the southern, improved (library, pool, cultural centre) for years, but only recently discovered the ponds and trails on the northern end near the hospital. What a hidden gem! As my photos, and the photos of others will show, there are asphalt trails winding through and around the lagoons. Interspersed are benches for catching one's breath, or simply resting, meditating, and communing with nature. The only danger noted (at least during daylight hours) was the Canada Geese who seem to think they own the place.
