A covered market right next to the plaza de democracia. The best place to buy souvenirs and enjoy homemade local food and browse the lovely articles for sale. Don't shop anywhere else for souvenirs!

If you like to buy Costa Rican handmade crafts you should visit the Mercado de Artesanias. Costa Rican Coffee making device "Chorreador" or a nice colorful hammock.

This is an awesome place to get souvenirs from at very reasonable prices from artisans themselves! Really recommend going here for small memories of your trip
