features a variety of workshops taught by professional artists under tents set up in the parking lot. At least ten different arts media are offered, from ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, masks and more, along with a performing arts component presented on a stage at the back of the parking lot. The program is offered free to the public from noon to 4 pm. Children of all ages attend; parents and grandparents with children from 2-12 years of age are the primary audience. Attendance measures 600-1,000 guests. FAD is held in conjunction with the opening of a contemporary art exhibition, providing the opportunity for guests to view the exhibition in addition to participating in the workshops.
