Beautiful hiking and you can summit Wheeler Peak. There are 2 separate trails from Red River and Taos

Right next to Taos Ski Valley and some gorgous hikes up toward Mt. Wheeler, highest point in NM. Be sure to be acclimated before you start! When you come down head to the Bavarian Restaurant, right near where you start the hike to Williams Lake/Mt. Wheeler.

WIlliams Lake is not too challenging but to continue up from there requires a little more skill

Wheeler Peak is the tallest spot in New Mexico and TSV is just below it. Every mountain activity can be done here, during the winter or summer. Ski, snowboard, hike, mountain bike, snowmobile, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, etc., etc. ..... Come & have fun!
