Public buses- $1.55/adults, free for young kids. Buses come every 15 min., on Frankfort Ave. and Brownsboro Rd. They run East/West. Free Trolley ride on Frankfort Ave, the last Friday of the month and downtown, the first Friday of the month.

The offices for the Transit Authority of River City are located in the historic L&N Union Station (1891). Tarc restored Union Station in the mid 80 with a cost of approximately $2 million. My mother, who was a passenger on trains that passed through Louisville, is very impressed with the restoration of Union Station. I probably would not have visited TARC if she had not expressed an interest, but I must agree with Mom. Union Station is very impressive.
