THE BEST PIZZA IN AMERICA. Really. Compare this to your Chicago or New York pizza. Family run little restaurant with plastic tablecloths, famous in north San Diego county. Best lasagna in America too.

Mama 'n Papa's Pizza Grotto is one of the oldest Italian restaurants in Vista, CA. Owner, Fred Mozzani, grew up working for the DePhilippis at Fillipi's Pizza Grotto in San Diego. While working at Fillipi's, Fred met his wife Lynn and decided to start his own business. The DePhilippis shared their recipes, menu and blessings. Since 1986 Mama ‘n Papa’s has been family owned, with three generations now managing daily operations. Mama 'n Papa's has become a Vista landmark, known for homemade Italian classics, an inviting atmosphere, and service that is second to none. We recommend pasta dishes, but the pizza is good, too.
