Oconaluftee Island Park has several picnic tables and grills for your convenience Bonfires / Storytelling is also held at Oconaluftee Island Park from 7:00-9:00 pm on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, June 1–October 31, 2022.

nice place to let the kids get wet. not deep but deep enough. picnic tables are set up so bring you some snacks and spend the day.
