Tons of hiking trails of every length and difficulty. Beautiful park in which to spend an entire day or a few hours hiking. They offer numerous educational talks throughout the year, golf cart tours in the summer, and self-guided tours. This area was once the site of a local village, which died out with the cessation of coal mining in the area and people moving into Cochrane. There are a few buildings left and signs throughout that explain the history. Incredible to visit for the views stretching over miles of open prairie with the mountains to the west and Bow River running along the length of the park. If you're ambitious, you can hike all the way into Calgary along the trails.
