A little different in scope to the Malacological Museum, this institution collects only local specimens and collects fish and crustaceans (e.g. crabs, lobsters and prawns) as well as molluscs.

Situated in the complex of the Franciscan Monastery, the Shell Museum offers a unique collection of shells from the Adriatic as well as all the world's seas and oceans. There are about 3000 shells in the collection some of which are really spectacular. Old church next to the museum is a venue for concerts! Opening hours are from 10-12 Monday to Friday.
