Savor the island weather from a covered lanai with living and dining areas and a built-in barbecue, or the tropical-garden-style backyard, which has a freeform pool, spa and waterfall feature. Guests are also welcome to use the shared pool, spa, clubhouse, fitness center and Par 3 practice course at the nearby Kauna’oa Country Club.

A slide-away glass wall connects the lanai with the open-concept great room, giving you one large indoor-outdoor space for relaxing or entertaining. (Or, if you’d prefer, pull the wall closed and flip on the air conditioning on hot days.) Warm tones, subtle prints and playful touches such as hula-dancer figurines feel casual yet chic in the living area, dining area and fully equipped kitchen.

Guests of this luxury property can also opt in to resort privileges at the Mauna Kea Resort at extra cost to join honeymooning couples on the white-sand beach, access the golf courses and oceanfront tennis court, or work out in the fitness center. If you’d like to see more of the island, it’s a 5-minute drive to the town of Kawaihae and a 15-minute drive to shopping, dining, entertainment and activities in Waimea.
