Spend your holiday lounging by one of the two infinity pools, sipping refreshments from the wet bar, testing your skill on the putting green, basketball court or badminton court or exploring the bay in kayaks and paddleboards. End the day on a high note with dinner from the barbecue at the al-fresco dining pavilion, followed by stargazing from the hot tub, a rack or two on the pool table in the games room or a movie in the home theater.

In keeping with the home’s oceanfront location, the interiors of Villa Amarapura are refined yet welcoming, open yet luxurious. Soaring paneled ceilings and a globe chandelier draw the eye up in the great room, while a slide-away glass wall lets in both sea views and warm breezes. Clean-lined sofas and chairs make for inviting sitting and dining areas, and there’s also a more casual dining table and breakfast bar in the adjoining fully equipped kitchen.

There are six bedrooms in the main house at Villa Amarapura and one in a separate guest house; all have en-suite bathrooms and great views. The main house has two bedrooms with a super king bed and four bedrooms with king beds, and the guest house, which could be set aside as a honeymoon suite, has a king bed. Features like lounge areas in several bedrooms and stand-alone bathtubs encourage lingering in the suites.

From the villa’s waterfront location on Cape Yamu, it’s just steps to the sand and a short drive to local attractions like the Royal Phuket Marina, Laguna Golf and the Big Buddha. Plan on a 17-mile drive from the property to Phuket International Airport, or ask to arrange an airport transfer to round out your stay.
