The Beechworth Conservatory

The c1855 Country House is set on the private grounds of the old Newtown grocers, which has now been turned into a multifunctional venue by local design partners Megan & Ollie. The accomodation in the shopkeeper's residence has been lovingly restored complete with original heritage features. Wee Varrich

Wee Varrich nestles within a delightful landscape; a fusion of carefully sculptured plantings of trees, shrubs, hedges, lawns and vines, against the power of the Stanley State Forest. Situated on the edges of Stanley village, the entrance to Varrich is a winding path through tall eucalypts. The property is situated on 2.49 hectares on land that was mined during the Gold rush era of the 1850’s. Wee Varrich is a fully self-contained cottage adjacent to the main house and secluded by plantings.

From the comfort of the back verandah you will enjoy views of the olive grove & beyond the lawns to paddocks with sheep and lambs. Our recently renovated cottage loves the environment & uses rainwater, solar power & vintage European furniture.

Fabulous Orange, Lemon and Grapefruit Trees, Granny Smith and Jonathan Apple Trees to help yourself.

Spring Creek Seventeen

Sunset over the gentle Spring Creek valley is best viewed from the swing chair of the Spring Creek Seventeen verandah. You could kick the footy from the front porch and land it in the creek it’s that close. On a clear night a gazillion stars will mesmerise you while the creek will sing you to sleep. It’s such a beautiful spot, we never want to leave.
