A lovely little beach great for families as it has lots of rock pools but be careful as they can be very slippery - great beach which I recommend

Carne & Pendower – TR2 5PF. Great beaches with children. Lovely quiet beach that will take you a little off the beaten track and certainly away from the main summer crowds. At the Pendower end of the beach there is a stream that crosses the beach which children enjoy. There's not much in the way of facilities (apart from a loo) - so take a picnic!

Only 50p to park all day in the farmers field then a short walk down to the beach. Very quiet and clean beautiful beach, now one of the families favorites. Lovely stony rocky cove on coastal path. Walk left and there is a slightly larger beach area. Not ideal for anyone with walking disibilites. Be prepared to walk back a steep hill. Great views.

A sheltered harbour beach in the small village of Polkerris, overlooking St Austell Bay, with a stone quay providing shelter. Located about 2 miles west of Fowey, 6 miles from St.Austell 20 miles from Looe. This sandy beach is ideal for families, with facilities, including a slipway, right by the beach, watersport equipment for hire and water sports tuition available. Facing south west, the beach is perfect for late afternoons and glorious sunsets throughout the year. The beach has a pub, seafood restaurant and take away cafe and therefore offers a range of food and drink option. Access - short 5 min. walk down to the beach from car park (free after 6pm). Boasting a host of facilities including watersports equipment hire and tuition, toilets, a café, shop, seafood resturant and pub.

Mawgan Porth beach is just far enough from Newquay (4 miles) to avoid the crowds and summer excesses, yet benefit from the same golden sands and beautiful coastline. The beach here is sheltered by high cliffs to each side and at low tide there is ample sand for everyone, even on the busiest of days. Mawgan Porth is a great family beach with lots of rockpools, caves and even a large stream running down the southern side of the beach. In terms of facilities there is everything you would expect from one of the region’s best beaches including disabled access. There is seasonal lifeguard cover at Mawgan Porth and whilst swimming is generally safe this is also a popular surfing beach so is fairly exposed to the Atlantic swells.
