Red Hen is consistently ranked as one of the best restaurants in DC. The food is expertly prepared, is innovative and absolutely delicious. Check out the herb garden they have in the back! Quick and easy to get from the apartment. They have a bar you can eat at, but suggest making a reservation earlier than later if you want a table!

KoChix has arguable the best Korean fried chicken. It a very simple place that has amazing food and loved by the locals. There is usually a line and can take some time to prepare the order. There also isn't any seating, so either taking out or using a food delivery app can make sense too.

Many DC residents aren't aware of how beautiful the Arboretum is. Don't miss it on a beautiful day! Great for a bike ride, run or picknick. The The Bonsai and Penjing Museum is one of my favorites.
