Cool place to get away in DC, a must see is the bonsai garden. They have trees there over 400 years old! I recommend using bike share or Uber to get there.

In close proximity, the Arboretum can actually be seen from the back deck (sunrise). Great for walks and fresh air.

Established in 1927 by an Act of the United States Congress, this national treasure contains 446 acres of fabulous flora and fauna and is especially known for its Asian, azalea and conifer collections. Don't miss the 300 year old Bonsai trees!
