The classic yacht Lady Patty departs three times daily for the beautiful Chesapeake Bay from Tilghman Island, MD, just twelve scenic miles past St Michaels, MD from April 1 through October 31. Lady Patty is a 45' sailing yacht built in 1935 for offshore racing. She carries over 1000 square feet of sail and is USCG inspected for 16 passengers. During charters beer, wine and drink service is offered. We specialize in Champagne Sunset Sails. Don't settle for sailing in the rivers and harbors. And has been workingthe chesapeake bay bringing oysters to market ever season since.Captain Wade H. Murphy bought her in 1986 and spent that summer completely rebuilding her.That is also the same year that the Bays oyster population was devastated by a disease that almost wiped out the oyster business in MD.In 1995 Captain Wade decided to start taking tours on Rebecca.To show his love for the bay and dredging oyster. We look forward to sailing with you when your in Tilghman Island.We can take up to 49 passengers on her spacious decks.Perfect for bus groups or Family reunions. So Sit back and enjoy the scenery and listen to stories from over 50 year of Wades adventures working the Bay. Or you can choose to get into the action and help raise the sails and steer. Your choice.

The Tilghman Watermen’s Museum celebrates the work and culture of Tilghman’s Island watermen and their families.
In 2007, a handful of Tilghman’s Island residents came together to try to preserve a historic workboat, the Kathryn. This singular idea soon expanded into the larger effort to record the ongoing story of Tilghman’s Island’s unique community, a community rich in history and with a culture centered on the work of watermen and their families. These early efforts lead to the birth of the Tilghman Watermen’s Museum.
