Sightseeing

The new Korea Town market street is a short walk from the old market. The large signpost at the starting point combined with the lampposts decorated in traditional Korean patterns make it easy to find. This newer market provides a closer experience to South Korea in modern day times. As I walk under the large sign, I am instantly greeted by stores selling the latest Korean cosmetic products and face masks which line the street outside the stores. South Korea is renowned for its high-quality, and sometimes slightly bizarre, cosmetic products. I stop to buy some face masks for a friend, though choosing between familiar options such as Tea Tree and the more unusual Snake Venom took some time. As

For international people in Japan or even Japanese people who are fans of foreign products, purchasing foreign imported food can be difficult and sometimes very costly. A small piece of cheese can set you back 1000 yen, and many items you will struggle to find at all. You may know of the chain stores such as Kaldi and Jupiter, which are dotted around big cities in Japan and have a good selection of international products. However, if you want to do a big shop in one of these stores, good luck saving any money that month! Luckily, there is an alternative!

Getting Around

Kansai International Airport (関西空港, Kansai Kūkō, KIX) is one of Japan's most important international airports. Located on a man made island about 40 kilometers south of central Osaka, Kansai Airport was opened in 1994, taking over all international and some of the domestic air traffic formerly handled by Osaka's Itami Airport. Kansai Airport has two terminals. Terminal 1, the main terminal, is housed in a long, modern building and serves both domestic and international flights by regular airlines. The railway station is located directly adjacent to it. Added in 2012 in a more remote, spartan building, terminal 2 serves low-cost airlines (LCCs). It has fewer bus connections and no train serv
