This is a 90-year-old traditional Kyoumachiya certified by Kyoto City. World heritage Ginkakuji Temple and the path of philosophy are within a 5-minute walk. The house was an Ochaya (literally "tea house")before and we renovated it, which is an establishment where patrons are entertained by geisha. We kept the original structure and make it much more modern and comfortable. The river in front of the house is the must-see in Kyoto changing from cherry bloom to maples. The best location near Gojo bridge and Kiyomizuーgojo sta. can make it very convenient to all the famous spots.

京町家 天の川 〔Maison à Kyoto Amanogawa〕

This is a nice place to visit Kyoto, just near the river Shirakawa, a really nice place sometimes used for movies or series. The house is near Chioin, Kodaiji, Higashiyama, Yasaka shrine. Just near the house, there is an old market where you can buy and eat Japanese food.

琵琶湖のみえる古民家 京都駅から30分 宿所スギエ(SUGIE)

簡易宿所(旅館業営業許可済) スギエ(SUGIE) は、明治の遺産琵琶湖疎水に囲まれた環境の良い、京都駅まで30分京阪三条まで35分とアクセスにも恵まれた広々とした古民家です。私の祖父母は昭和初期から上記の疎水(インクライン)を使って木造船で京都の神社仏閣に白砂、砂利、門柱に使う御影石等を京都蹴上まで運ぶ豪商でした、商売繁盛するようにと家の庭に鳥居と社を作りお稲荷さんを祭りました。大きな水屋(食器入れ)や欅の長火鉢、家紋入りの提灯入れ等古くて珍しいものがたくさん飾ってあります。
