Great halfway stopping point between Death Valley and Yosemite. Perfect for traveling nurses, hospital is less than two miles away. Nature trails right out the back door. Hello and welcome to Bluebird Cottage. We are located 1 mile up a dirt road in the Isabella Highlands overlooking Lake Isabella. Our road is bumpy in and steep in areas, but we have never had a guest not make it up here. We are approximately a 3 hour Drive to Sequoia National Park. We are a 2 hour drive from Death Valley National Park. We are a 4 hour drive from Yosemite. We are 3 hr drive from Los Angeles. Bluebird Cottage is a cozy tiny home with a private outdoor space. Incredible views!

Hiking from your doorstep, Lake Isabella 10 minute drive down the hill, with boating, swimming, and fishing, and just a few miles up the road to Kernville, with white water rafting, fly fishing, and great restaurants alongs the Kern river. Plunge into or practice your casting in our private river (Runs April through December). Originally built in the 1890s. Nestled in over 14 acres of water meadow. There is an attached but separate wing that is another listing. Two bedrooms upstairs, a large living room, loo & kitchen downstairs. no checkout chores.

TWO GUESTS ONLY , NO PARTIES, NO PETS! Comfy king bed, lovely outdoor bathtub. NO WIFI. Only 1 bar cell svs-plus record player/TV/videos/books/games. Heavy snow possible!
