This charming cottage was built in 1837 as the original firehouse of Harper's Ferry. The town square is outside your front door, and it is a short walk to the National Historical Park, restaurants, cafes, and shopping. All water activities are at your own risk. WV DNR requires all boaters to have a lifejacket and all boats to have a whistle. Please bring your own whistle(s). MD or WV fishing license is fine.

This Cottage House is located near the Potomac River and is very close to Harpers Ferry, WV, Antietam National Battlefield, historic Sharpsburg, MD, the C&O canal and other local attractions. This cottage is an older structure with a rustic charm, includes a full kitchen with island seating, 1 full bath, 2 half baths, washer/dryer and sleeps 8 nicely. Pets are welcome. The well water is tested safe, but contains minor amounts of hydrogen sulfide which produces some odor (please see below).
