Outdoor space includes a covered patio & hot tub, outdoor kitchen with chef's grill, refrigerator & fire pit. Kayaks, paddle boards, 2-person canoe, floats & fishing poles are available. Cozy Nest on the Platte River

Enjoy quiet country living in our guest house by our home on the Platte River. There are forty acres where you can fish, walk, swim, or just relax on the porch. The nest accommodates a family of four, but if you need more space ask to add the River Room to your reservation. Enjoy one of the restaurants nearby or bring your own food and utilize our gathering space with couch, tv, fridge, kitchenette, and grill. WIFI is available but we recommend you put down the devices and enjoy your getaway.

Outside, the expansive backyard, complete with a swing set, floating deck, firepit and mature trees, is perfect for outdoor entertaining (landscaping is an ongoing project- please be patient).

If you want the great outdoors of camping without any roughing it, this is your place!

For your safety there is a Ring camera installed at the entrance and will light up the entryway when it’s dark. Parking is on the well lit public street. Easily walk up our dedicated Airbnb sidewalk, no steps, walk around to the back of the house. You’ll be in a serene space that makes you feel right at home.

A wood burning fireplace gives the home a cozy warmth during the winter months. Outdoor fire pit as well as a gas barbecue are available for use in the large, fenced back yard.
