Ideal location for exploring Brecon and the surrounding National Park. A few minutes walk from open country in one direction, and five minutes from the town centre in the other. The cottage, opposite the Cathedral, adjoins one of Brecon's finest Georgian buildings, Grade II listed Priory Hill House, with which it shares a lovely half-acre garden on the banks of the River Honddu, with spectacular views of Pen y Fan. Tastefully furnished with Welsh antiques, a newly equipped kitchen, TV, & Wifi.

An historic fully refurbished character barn attached to our traditional Welsh Long House home. Having a mezzanine bedroom with a double bed accessing it via a beautiful spiral staircase. Downstairs is an open plan lounge kitchen dinner with a wood burning stove and a beautiful chandelier. The kitchen is well appointed including electric oven/hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and a wine cooler. Large windows are at the front and back of the property with the most stunning views.

Gilfach translates from the Welsh as ‘nook’ or ‘hideaway’. This perfectly describes the farm, tucked away in a steep sided valley yet only 5mins drive from the A40. The farm dates back four hundred years, part of the original stone barn has been converted into the Barn Cottage. Just north of the Brecon Beacons national park and nestling in the folds of the hills. The cottage has a cosy wood burner and everything you need to enjoy tranquillity and rest.

Our beautiful dog friendly cottage is situated in the Brecon Beacons national park, with a spectacular view of Pen y Fan from the lounge window and from the spacious tiered garden. If you're looking for a perfect winter get away with a wood burner in the living room, a fire pit in the large garden (with logs provided) and plenty of hot water for a dip in the roll top bath, this is the perfect place !
