TabiTabi Kamogawa is a private Machiya house for one group per day, located along the Kamogawa River in Kyoto. From the living room and balcony you can enjoy beautiful river views and the changing seasons — cherry blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer, colorful autumn leaves, and quiet winter scenery. Birds often fly across the river, creating a peaceful Kyoto atmosphere. The sunroom also features an indoor glamping tent for a unique stay with family or friends.

This is one of our 11 apartment-type accommodations. It is about a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station and a 4-minute walk from Kintetsu Toji Station. The city bus stop called Kujo Omiya is also a very short walk away. The Railway Museum and Kyoto Aquarium are also nearby. They opened in April 2016 at Umekouji Park, which is only about a 7-minute walk. From the balcony, you can enjoy the view of the World Heritage Site, Toji Temple’s Five-Story Pagoda (“Goju no to”).

The house was an Ochaya (literally "tea house")before and we renovated it, which is an establishment where patrons are entertained by geisha. We kept the original structure and make it much more modern and comfortable. The river in front of the house is the must-see in Kyoto changing from cherry bloom to maples. The best location near Gojo bridge and Kiyomizuーgojo sta. can make it very convenient to all the famous spots.
