The property backs onto the Kauaeranga River, a beautiful clean flowing river with an idyllic swimming hole at the end of the property. The majestic Pinnacles walking track is at the end of the road. The cottage is just 5km from the centre of Thames township; everything is nearby, including the popular Hauraki Rail Trail which is a 3.5km cycle from Bakehouse Cottage.

Swim in the beautiful clear river, take one of the many hikes through pristine native bush or bike the Hauraki Rail Trail, it's all on our doorstep. A comfortable drive away are the east coast beaches, including Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach. Just 1 hour 20 minutes from Auckland International Airport.

Our AirBnB is a separate, self-contained wing of our beautiful new home in Totara, 3kms south of Thames Township and gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula. We are about an hour’s drive from Auckland International Airport and close to the many and varied attractions of the Coromandel and the Waikato Region. Easy access to the Hauraki Rail Trail. From our elevated position there are uninterrupted views over the township, Firth of Thames and the Kauaeranga Valley.

Beautiful, modern house with expansive ocean views. Watch the sun rise, the moon rise and the magical rose coloured sunsets that reflect off of the south cliff face. We are on the Kauaeranga Valley Rd close to all the walking tracks, so if you are wanting to walk the tracks during the day & stay with us at night the cabin would be perfect for you.
