We love Texas and we also have a special place for Mexico in our hearts, so we both wanted to add some spice to the house and make it bright, yet very comfortable and relaxing. We offer lots of games, including the cornhole to our guests!

Nettles Nest Country Inn

Nettles Nest is a rustic cabin nestled in the piney woods of northeast Texas in the small town of Redwater, just outside of Texarkana. It is located on a 5 acre lake. It's a great place to unplug. No Wifi. Fish (bring your own pole,etc.), swim, paddleboat, kayak, relax on the deck or under the pavilion. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families , and pets (2 maximum) No large groups. No parties.

Couch is extremely comfortable to sleep on & I can reconfigure room to add double air mattress on request.

Nannie’s place

This luxury tiny home sits on land that has been in our family for over 140 years. My great grandmother (Nannie) lived on this land for many years. Her home is now gone, but it was always welcoming and many have precious memories of their time spent here. We hope our guests feel the same love and peace that we feel when we spend time at Nannie’s Place!
