North Country Cottage

This beautiful, recently renovated home is out in the country down a dead-end road, but still only a few miles from the town of Ladysmith. It is about a mile from a little county park on the Dairyland Reservoir, only a few miles from the local golf course, and just down the road from hopping on the snowmobile trail in the winter. Relax with the whole family or some friends at this peaceful place to stay. Kayak, fish, and swim in the lakes. Sit around the fire, play yard games, rest in the hammock, or watch a movie. There are plenty of ways to keep the kids active inside and outside. This cabin includes a game table, sandbox, board/card games, art supplies, kayaks, row boat, and fishing poles. Make many memories together skipping rocks, catching fireflies, eating smores, taking in the beautiful views, and sharing laughs.

The Hogstad Homestead

The Hogstad Homestead has been in our family for nearly 70 years. The name is in honor of my great grandparents Ardell&Elaine Hogstad who bought the property in the early 1950's. They raised their two children there and also operated a farm for many years. Since then it has been home to many family members. In 2017 my husband & I had the opportunity to buy it. It was home to us for 5 amazing years where we created many happy memories. We are now ready to share this special property with others!

It has a fully equipped kitchen, stove and fridge. A gas fireplace is the centerpiece of the living room. Snuggle up on the sofa or recliner, turn on the fireplace, and relax. This is a spacious, beautiful home away from home! We are located about a 1/4 mile away from gorgeous Lake Holcombe. Nestled away behind the pines :) The area offers plenty of out door activities, year round. Take a walk on the quiet, peaceful lakeshore, or jump on the trails just down the road for some OTR fun. There is also the well known ice age hiking trail close by. We do offer maps located on your welcome stand to help you navigate our great community.
