The Flat Top on 1st is a throwback to an era almost lost in the Outerbanks!! Originally constructed in 1958, this single story Block House sits on a large double corner lot in the Heart of Kill Devil Hills. Close to the Beach, shopping , and Attractions, Our Vintage Flatroof is Modernized while trying to keep its nostalgic feel that made so many fall in love with the Outer Banks!! (Note: From Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day, we operate with a 7 day minimum stay with a Saturday check-in.)

Chloe's Cottage - 7 minute walk to the beach

Nestled in the heart of Southern Shores, our house is tucked away from the typical hustle and bustle of the resort areas of Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Duck, while being close enough for walk to the beach! A 15-minute bike ride into the town of Duck (2 bikes provided) will provide an afternoon with your friends and family, without the headache of traffic and parking. The house has dedicated workspace, gas fireplace, 42-inch HDTV with YouTube TV, sound system, and fiber internet WiFi.

Sunrise Surf House is right across the street from the ocean, with great views! The access to the ocean is only 2 houses away. Our large pool will have free heat starting the end of April -mid October. We also have a 6 person hot tub on the pool deck, closed Jan/Feb. Family and dog friendly! (See House Rules). We are centrally located 3 houses away from Southern Shores Crossing Shopping Center, where you can walk to dining, pizza, ice cream, shopping, and an escape room. Sat-Sat summer.

"Summer Breeze" is the perfect spot for a fun and relaxing get away. Convenient to lots of restaurants, shopping and activities.

Live Oak Cottage - walk to beach / beach side of R

The Live Oak Cottage is a beautiful guest house situated under sprawling live oak trees. The suite and main house was originally a US Coast Guard Lifesaving Station built in 1901 - and moved to its current location in the 60s. The suite has been restored to bring it up to date with modern amenities, while retaining its rustic charm. A kitchenette, with fridge, toaster, plug in cook top + more. Sit back and relax on your private deck with a grill or walk to the beach in just 5 minutes.

Trails through the maritime forest nearby. NOTE: DOWNSTAIRS apartment can hear footsteps/noise from above!

This spacious 5 Bedroom, 4 1/2 bath home is located just a block from the beach with ocean views galore! This home accommodates multiple families with en suite bathrooms in 3 of the bedrooms, a bunkroom, and a secondary living room & kitchenette. Welcome to the perfect Outer Banks escape with a short walk to two beach accesses, an outdoor shower, plenty of deck space to watch the sunrise or simply curl up with a good book, and a private hot tub to wind down after a day in the sun.

Historic Beach Cottage 700ft to ocean #singlestory

This is a true {mid-century modern} historic and classic cottage. It was built in 1956 by Frank Stick. Frank was a local artist and developer and started the “flat-top” movement in Southern Shores. We have worked hard to modernize this classic and bring it back to life with some fun twists! The porch is our favorite feature. It is 1200 sq feet of screened in, relaxing bliss. Outside family dinners and corn hole tournaments are our family’s way of relaxing at this sweet cottage!

Private Beach! Friday to Friday rental during summer. 2-3 day rental off season (Oct-May) Our beachhouse is 1/2 block walk to our private community beach and 4 blocks from the cute town of Duck! Spend your days swimming in the sea, surfing, watching dolphins or rent bikes for the whole family from one of Duck’s many recreational businesses. Duck offers great restaurants, shopping, jet ski, paddle board, fishing, bicycle and kayak rentals.

Cave By The Waves- Pet Friendly, no pet fee

Our apartment is located on the first floor of our home, which is one of the only Solar Powered homes in the Outer Banks! Just a 5 minute walk to the beach and a short bike ride or drive to the sound, we have a perfect location which is close to everything. Our space includes the use of our outdoor shower and beach parking passes. We have a great yard for lounging, sun bathing or playing with dogs. Come and check out our "Cave" by the waves!
