The Westmoreland Lighthouse - Private studio in SE

We've dubbed this stunning, newly constructed detached studio the "Lighthouse" because of the way natural light pours through the 550-square-foot studio's many windows and dances off its walls and vaulted ceilings. An open loft offers soothing views. We are tucked into the Westmoreland neighborhood's quiet residential area, but are only a five minute walk from more than 20 restaurants and entertainment features. Westmoreland Park, Reed College and downtown Portland are just minutes away by car.

My wife, Raechel, and I originally designed and built this ADU ( accessory dwelling unit ) with the intention of living there full time, but due to a change of plans, it's available to you. The space was designed by Buckenmeyer Architecture, and was constructed by me. Our space features many unique elements such as: burnt cedar siding, 16' multi-slide window wall (please open and close slowly), and moveable cedar slat screens/ We hope you enjoy the space and neighborhood as much as we do!

Sweet Hideaway is a little, cozy space for couples or solo travelers looking for a peaceful refuge in the trees, yet only a 10 minute drive to downtown. You will have your own entrance and enjoy a Tempurpedic queen bed, a smart TV, your private bathroom, a dining/kitchenette area with a bar table and stools, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, tea, coffee, treats, utensils, a private table and chairs on the deck over the trees. For 2+ night stay, free use of washer/dryer.

Family friendly spacious basement apartment (700 square feet) with living, bath, kitchenette and bedroom, close to Creston park. Our house is a 5-7 minute drive from Reed College. It is within walking distance to several restaurants including Gladstone Street Pub and Food Carts on Foster. It is a 15 minute walk to Trader Joes; a 20 minute walk to many restaurants and shops on Woodstock Blvd. We have two security cameras on our property - one in the driveway and one on the front porch.

The guest cottage offers self check-in. It is located in a quiet neighborhood in SE Portland. High ceilings make this studio airy and bright. We think of it as a perfect hotel room without the hotel. The small galley kitchen has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal including filtered water. There is a full bathroom with tub and shower. Our basement has been newly renovated. Brand new bedroom, beautiful bathroom and living space. The living space includes a 57” Smart TV and couch. The wet bar features a mini fridge, sink and Keurig Coffee maker. The bedroom has 1 queen sized bed with hotel luxury 1800 bedding sheets, a dresser, full length mirror and natural light window. Our house is centrally located with dozens of restaurants, bars and coffee shops just a short walk away!

The Royal Scott Double Decker Bus

Our tiny home started life as a commuter bus in Manchester, England, in 1953, then did stints in San Francisco and Mt. St. Helens before finding a home as the Grilled Cheese Grill in Portland. Now it’s been reimagined as a mid century modern-inspired tiny home, with whimsical painting details from one of its former lives and fresh new handmade details that make it a cozy, inspiring stay.
