Ahh....The Good Life Cottage is located approximately five miles north of Laurel, MS where it began on a patch of ground that was fully cultivated from the 1900's to the 1960's, afterwards it became a family farm that grew corn, hay, and food for livestock and family. Today, on the land is a farmhouse with modern amenities as well as the sights and sounds of nature all around you, frogs croaking, crickets chirping, deer feeding, turkeys foraging, and owls hooting. A place to enjoy the Good Life.

Located on Thomley’s Christmas Tree Farm, home to the only Glassblowing Hot Shop in Mississippi. Featured on HGTV’s “Hometown”, we welcome fans of the show. The house is 2,600sqft. New granite countertops and Wifi. We have 28 goats & 19 baby goats. Kidding season is Feb-Mar. Tree Farm is busy from Nov 15- Dec 15. Relax and connect with nature at this unforgettable, ADULTS ONLY, Smoke-free escape. Sit on the deck overlooking the lake (it is really a pond but we call it our lake). Build a fire in the firepit while you watch the sunset. Watch the fish eat when the feeder goes off. You may even see an otter or ducks on the water. Across the way, cows and goats may be grazing in the pasture or the farmers may be tending the field. You may even hear Ferguson (our donkey) bray. Relax and enjoy!

This is not a pet friendly listing due to severe pet allergies. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to relax you have found it. We have 2 ponds stocked with catfish, bass and bream. The home has everything you need to cook a great meal, including fresh rosemary and basil growing in pots at the front door. This listing is 30 minutes to Hattiesburg and Laurel. We are located 1 1/2 hours from the coast and casinos. We are 1 1/2 hours to Mobile and 2 1/2 hours to New Orleans.

Tiny House at Fulmer's Farmstead & General Store

Break away from it all and enjoy spending a little time at a slower pace on our 40 acre horse-powered produce farm. You will fall in love with our 240 square foot tiny house with its wrap around porch. Amish rockers complete the space making it an ideal place for that morning or evening cup of coffee. Enjoy touring the farm and watching our Percheron draft horses at work or young colts playing. Chickens, cows, and sheep round out the animals to check out here on the farm.
