Food Scene

AMAZING local restaurant for dinner or a fantastic brunch. Great atmosphere, service and of course, food. Get the pappardelle. Trust me.

Drinks & Nightlife

Chill, casual, neighborhood bar with great food that is served till late, like 2:00 am. By great food, I'm talking small plates of things like steak and escargot, not mozzarella sticks! Great option if you get to town late and need food.

Well, this is my local so you know I love it. What can I say, it’s a little bit of a dive that’s part gay bar/part neighborhood bar. The drinks are cheap and strong and they have jukebox that supports all night dance parties. From my house, it’s the first bar on the walk to the quarter and the last bar on the walk home. Dangerous on both sides!

Parks & Nature

This is New Orleans’ newest riverfront park. I’m probably biased because it’s in my neighborhood, but is just a simple riverfront walk that lets you watch the barges go by or see the sunset over the city. It’s not touristy, there aren’t ‘attractions’ but it’s beautiful and is a great place to run, ride bikes, walk your dog, or just chill the afternoon away. There are three entrances to the park; the one at Marigny St and St Peters St is the closest to my house.
