Peakes Quay is a happening spot in the summer. It has multiple shops and small restaurants including the famous Cows Ice Cream and other casual Wharf-side dining spots. You can also rent paddle boards, go on boat tours and more. Most days and evenings you will find live music.
A touch tank is set up seasonally where people can learn about the different species of aquatic life found in the Atlantic Ocean. You can touch starfish, lobsters and mussels.
While it is definitely a tourist area, and none of the restaurants are exceptional, it’s still a fun place to check out and spend some time.

The restaurant has an open air oyster bar showcasing oysters from various parts of the island. Sims is a great spot for a romantic dinner or gathering with friends. The lunch menu also has great options at a lower price point.
My favourites: The seafood bruschetta, tenderloin steak, and mac and cheese!
