The Lodge closes down in the early fall and re-opens in early summer, but the lake and views of the Sawtooths shouldn't be missed. Access is closed in the winter, unless you're a hearty soul who wants to x-country ski into the lake!

Cozy mountain town nesselled in the heart of the Sawtooths. Go enjoy some pizza at Sawtooth Lucy's, or a hearty steak at the Casino. The Rod and Gun club is an iconic bar that is a must-see. The Bakery is an amazing breakfast spot, but I think it's closed in the winter. It's so beautiful. Be sure to visit one of the hot springs along the way, or just past Stanley.
