Ruciane Nida Town – located around 25 minutes drive from the cottage. Mazurian tourist town where you can find things such as restaurants, bars, ice cream places, cafes, marina, rental places and a promenade full of everything except silence and peace. The biggest attraction of Ruciane Nida Town is a water lock located 5 min walk from the promenade. You can observe how yachts full of sailors are being water locked.

The biggest attraction of Ruciane Nida Town is a water lock located 5 min walk from the promenade. You can observe how yachts full of sailors are being water locked.
Sightseeing
Wild Animal Park in Kadzidłowo – located 30 min drive from the cottage. The best place for children. Very beautiful. Children can not only meet the wild animals but also feed tchem. I recommend not to take a stroller (for babies) because there are many small ladders that you have to go up and down in order to go from one animal farm to another to meet different kinds of animals. Open daily from end of April until mid-October, 9:30am-6pm, price 18PLN adults, 9PLN children. Visiting time around 1,5h hours. You can also buy carrot for animals there, price 2PLN/pack.

It was Adolf Hitler’s first Eastern Front military headquarters during the WWII. The top secret complex located in the woods. You can see the ruins of the central complex where Hitler’s bunker was located surrounded by three security zones. Price: 15PLN adult (until 26 years old) children 10PLN, children up to 6 years old free entrance, car parking 5PLN. Open from June-August Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, weekends and holidays 10am-3pm.

The length of the kayaking tour is around 15 km, you can enjoy the beautiful views and wild river shore. You rent kayaks for the whole day: prices 1-/2- ppl kayak 40PLN/day, 3-/4- ppl kayak 60PLN/day.

Pisz’s old square – located 8 min drive from the cottage. At the Square you can see big old Neo-Gothic Town Hall where a Polish Land Museum is located. Besides that the Square offers home-made ice-cream, lemonade, deserts and pastries. There is also a fountain in the Square and 1 min walk there is a Pisa River where you can walk along and feed the swans and ducks.
