Corniche el Nil (Near Maadi's main Midan on the Nile). A pleasant fresh fish restaurant with a wide range of choice and good service. Choose your fish on ice before it is cooked. Fruit and alcoholic drinks available. Prices around EGP 120 per person including wine but strongly dependent on what fish you choose.

Wadi Digla Protected Area, (You can take taxi from Ma'adi to the entrance at Wadi Dilga. Taxi drivers in Ma'adi should know where to go.). A 60 square kilometer, of dry wadi, that offers opportunity for taking a trek, jogging, rock climbing, and cycling. Wadi Digla is also a good spot for bird watching, and viewing the various reptile species, plants, and deer that reside there. To get out of the park, either pay to have uber/taxi wait, or it's a 15 minute walk out to the main road where you can catch another taxi or order uber again! do be aware that a pack of dogs hangs out around the park entrance. 5 LE for foreigners, and an extra 5 LE to bring a car into Wadi Digla( Hope still the same)

Getting Around

I suggest to down load "uber" app and use it for rides around Cairo. it is safe and very convenance. You don't need to give tip or talk to the driver. But please make sure that the " drop pin " in Google map, is in the right place. I also suggest " Careem" app which is the Egyptian company like Uber. This is in case Uber cars are busy. There are lots of Taxies driving around waiting for customers. You can also take short taxi drive to the metro station on Road 9.

ignore the place on the map. Metro line 1 , starts and ends on Road 9 which is 5 minutes drive from the Pent House. It gets you to and from Maadi to downtown Cairo. From the PH to this Metro station, you may take taxi for no more than 10 LE or walk through Maadi to the direction of the Nile to road 9. Metro is the cheapest and fastest way to go around but can get confusing finding the right person to ask when you need help.
