Some form of a bar has been in this location for years, but now totally revamped and with an excellent beer garden out back which includes an outside cooking area with a pizza oven.
Good music to be heard in the evenings too.

You will probably see the tower from miles around, and actually worth the drive up to see the views across County Down and towards the Belfast hills. On a clear day you can see as far as Scotland.
The tower currently closed for visitors, however some nice walking trails in the area in and around the disused quarry.

The train station is linked to the bus station, and from here you can travel along the coast to Crawfordsburn, Helens Bay, the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum, Holywood, and Belfast and beyond...to anywhere in Ireland in fact, which has a train station!
