The Pioneer village is a treat for everyone. Most weekends and throughout the summer, 1800's period reenactors will be in the village teaching about pioneer life in Southern Indiana. You must stop to see the mill grind corn or saw lumber.
The newly revitalized lake offers boat rentals and is stocked with trout. Stop by the nature center for a schedule of activities.
There are miles of beautiful hiking trails through virgin forest. You can even take a boat ride through Twin Caves.
The Virgil I. "Gus" Grissom Museum is a must-see.
Also, the closest market to our home is actually the Spring Mill State Park Campground Store. You would have to pay the gate fee to enter the park if you do not
