this is a great pub with a lovely outside garden in Echinswell that we often walk to for a beer or Sunday lunch across the fields from the house. The food is great and it has good local ales

You can explore the history of the Castle, the illuminating Egyptian Exhibition narrating the discovery of the Tomb of Tutankhamun, and the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding gardens and grounds. Many of the rooms and vistas will be familiar to viewers of ‘Downton Abbey’. The distinctive gardens and park were designed by Capability Brown, and there are lots of good walks here

Is often open to visitors and is a short distance from the house. You can explore the history of the Castle, the illuminating Egyptian Exhibition narrating the discovery of the Tomb of Tutankhamun, and the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding gardens and grounds. Many of the rooms and vistas will be familiar to viewers of ‘Downton Abbey’. The distinctive gardens and park were designed by Capability Brown, and there are lots of good walks here
