this is an adorable strip of shops in english style. some very sweet cafe's. pubs. restaurants, butique clothing stores. charity shops, perhaps 5 in the strip. lovely church, even an award winning michelin star holding restaurant 'the warf' ... river view... all round worth the 15 mins on the bus that goes from just outside my house or about the same on a bicycle.

this is about 10 mins walk... everything is here, three supermarkets, library, cafes, charity shops, even a couple of clothing stores and a great local pub with a beer garden... lovely high street.

i love this little theatre... it has only one screen. its right on the river so after a stroll on the waterside its nice to pop in and see a film. with a glass of wine or a gourmet snack. they have sale days half the week and an eclectic selection of films. an old style pub is directly across the lane with a really good thai restaurant upstairs.
