They are a little odd. They bend the rules. They are Black Sheep. Welcome to the family. Located in the very heart of the National Wool Museum in Geelong, let the team at Black Sheep tell you a tale while you indulge in all that the Geelong region has to offer. Gin is their thing and they love talking about it over a plate to share. So let them pour you a drink and treat you to a twist on the classics while you make any excuse to stay a little while longer. Locally sourced with a mix of old and new, they like to share at Black Sheep. A taste of that. A try of this. Secretly stealing more than your share of the one you love. You’ll be able to make the most of all their European flavours whilst mixing and matching one of their premium local gins or handcrafted cocktails. It’s that touch of difference you’ve been searching for, the gin difference. As mentioned, Gin is their thing. Black Sheep is the home of the Geelong Chamber of Gin featuring Anther Spirits, Bellarine Distillery, Queenscliff Distillery, Flowstate Brewers and Distillers along with Great Ocean Road Gin. Come and enjoy a cheeky bit-o-fun at Black Sheep, it's not one to miss.

Little Creatures Brewing was born out of the love of great beer shared by a few good mates. In particular, it was a hop driven pale ale they tasted in the north west of the United States that really captured their hearts and gave rise to this little brewery that began on the water's edge in Fremantle. Throughout the years, Little Creatures Brewing have created a little family of beers that they brew today with the same enthusiasm and drive as the day they began. And while Little Creatures Brewing continue to grow and stretch their horizons, they are still excited by and are motivated to make better beer with greater consistency each day. After many years it made sense to set up a home away from home on the East Coast. It needed to be the right kind of place though, with a community they could get amongst and a building that needed a bit of love. The Valley Worsted Mills in Geelong, Victoria were bang on and the time is now right.

Barcode Fountain - situated along the waterfront near popular bar Edge, this fountain uses stainless steel to showcase a barcode from one of Geelong’s icon products: Noddys soft drink. Especially impressive at night with its blue strip lighting. Cargo Boxes – while at the Barcode Fountain, you may also see some crates. However these are no regular crates, on a closer inspection, you will see that each one contains something different inside. Being shackled feet, fruits or rabbits, the crates symbolise the different vessels that came to Geelong and the different things they brought with them. Created by artists Maggie Fookes and Bill Perrin in 2000, they too light up the night. Paving Splats - created by the same artists are these unique and interesting stainless steel and cast inlays that depict important and locally made objects. What a way to jazz up the regular and boring old pavement. North – whether you think they resemble sails or fins you are correct, these seven giant sculptures tower over you at two to three metres high. Made from cast cement panels, no two are positioned on the same frame, making it a fun and interchanging sculpture when moving within and around.

The trail of bollards along Geelong's spectacular waterfront are an iconic attraction to the region that represent the rich history of the town. With over 100 of them scattered between Rippleside and Limeburners Point each one depicts a different person from the past who added to the making of Geelong. From English explorer Mathew Flinders who sighted Corio Bay from the You Yangs in 1802, to The Koori family which shows the local hunter and gatherer culture and many more. Artist, Jan Mitchell was commissioned by the City of Greater Geelong to transform old timbers and piles from a city pier, into incredible works of art in the 1980's. Now overlooking the bay, the bollards feel just as much apart of Geelong as the bay is itself.
