Trendy & tasty & a great place for a wonderful NY state beer, a unique pizza or a tasty brunch.

Much smaller than Prospect Park, this local park in Fort Greene is within walking distance & is a great destination when shopping & site seeing. There are all kinds of neighborhood events that happen here during the warm months. Bonus: Before 9am dogs are allowed to run off leash. And there are tons of them. Really great if you love dogs.

Within walking distance, it's the first museum of its kind to be opened in New York, dedicated to rediscovering African cultural traditions and to "foster a dynamic space for the creation of the continuous evolution of culture."

The crowd is boisterous & beardy, enjoying the solid beer selection & a variety of odd cocktails. And, they have a great old school jukebox with $5 beer & shot specials. One of my favorites!
