This is the closest place to buy bus passes. A book of ten tickets is $20 for adults, and $14.50 for seniors and children. Cash fares are $2.50 and 1.75 respectively. The number 1 bus stops across the road when heading downtown, and around the corner when heading to the Halifax Shopping Centre (groceries, liquor store, Walmart, etc). Action central during the summer. Take a boat trip out into the harbour, or the ferry over to Dartmouth. Music festivals, buskers, beach volleyball, food stands, beer gardens. And don't miss the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.
