Black Balsam Knob has some of the most incredible views in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A short but strenuous hike will get you to the ridge line where you can see an unobstructed view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you are not much for Hiking you can drive up Black Balsam Knob Rd and park on one of a few pull offs and watch the sunset, but get there early otherwise these spots will be taken.
