The river is crystal clear, blue and freezing cold. You can walk up to the Mont Valier via the Cascades de Narech. It's a great spot for a picnic and there is a bar that sells local ice cream etc in the summer months. There is disabled access to the initial area.

A very beautiful waterfall. It's about 30m from St Girons in Aulus les Bains. The walk is a relatively gentle, easily accessible walk. For those looking for more of a challenge you can continue on up to the top of the waterfalls where there is a really beautiful open valley.
