MOUNT BLACKWOOD | Not your typical hike as the route to the top of Mount Blackwood is via a bitumen access road, but beggars can't be choosers! Mount Blackwood can be accessed via the Kuttabul Mount Dukes Road and then onto the Mount Blackwood Access Road. Parking is limited, but you can squeeze a few cars in near the access gate. This one is pretty popular with fitness groups, so you'll usually bump into a few people on a Saturday/Sunday morning. Views are fairly limited, but there are at least two good spots on the way!
Make sure you take your car and be aware of the cattle on the way out on Ellwood's road. They can be friendly, but they are wild animals. Please drive slowly they don't move to fast.
