Neighbourhoods
The Owl's Nest, situated next to our house at Dunkirk Bank, which built in 1866 as one of Dunkirk Mill’s properties. Located behind the old Mills, we live in Watledge, which is in the Parish of Amberley, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We love our location. We have a fabulous spot, right on the Cotswold Way
and cycle path. We are a 15 min walk into the funky and fascinating Nailsworth, which was the Sundays Times No. 32 in the best towns in the UK! We are also a steep 15-20 min walk, depending on your fitness, to the beautiful, classically Cotswold village of Amberley, which is on the edge of Minchinhampton Common, with its cows and horses roaming free, so romantic and what sold the area and our house to us.
Rodborough and Selsley commons are also very nearby
Situated in the Stroud Five Valleys, we are close to Stroud, Sunday Times No 1 best town in the UK in 2021, Minchinhampton, Tetbury and Cirencester, and within easy driving distance of Bath, Cheltenham and of course other parts of the Cotswolds such as Bourton on the Water.
On our doorstep as well as slightly farther afield, we are a great location for cycling, walking, sight seeing, shopping and dining out. As well as Minchinhampton common, Rodborough and Selsley commons are very close by so the walking is limitless.
We are a lovely little tucked away spot, where you can also just chill on your own balcony and enjoy the view!
