Nice Pizzeria in a beatiful garden. Only 5 to 10 minutes drive.
They also have a restaurant but you cannot order from the restaurant menu' if you sit in the Pizzeria and the other way round.
Pizza is good, we've have seen that the restaurant is expensive but we didn't eat there

We have not been there, but we've heard good things. We didn't go because we did not feel hungry enough to go to an Agriturismo this year. These are rural restaurants with a set menu and fixed price (which normally includes also water and wines), where they bring so much delicious homemade food (by law they can only serve what they produce on their farm) that you do not want to see food for the next couple of days.

Cagliari is the principal city in Sardinia. its historic city center (Castello) is beautiful and worth a walk on a day that might not be ideal for the beach.

Villasimius: During the Summer, this otherwise calm and small village turns into a vibrant holiday destination. At night time they close part of the city center to traffic and you can go for a bit of shopping, a nice walk and delicious Gelato from one of the many Gelaterie. It'25 minutes drive, but unfortunately the road is all winding and pretty dark, so not the most pleasant drive during the night.

Beaches
This area is full of so many beautiful beaches, that even we haven't been able to visit them all! Especially good is that you can always find a place to go and enjoy the sea with any wind.

However, the beach is not very comfortable because it's not sandy. Instead, the shore is made of relatively big rounded stones, so walking is quite difficult and you can only lie down if you have something solid to use. You can usually find wooden planks at the end of the beach for that purpose.

However, the beach is not very comfortable because it's not sandy. Instead, the shore is made of relatively big rounded stones, so walking is quite difficult and you can only lie down if you have something solid to use. You can usually find wooden planks at the end of the beach for that purpose.
This is a small beach, so it can get crowded very early and parking place is limited. Very beautiful, but you should get there early to find a good spot

This is the beach within walking distance from our house. It's very beautiful also for windsurfing and snorkeling. In fact, it is so nice, that you might not feel the need to go anywhere else :)

The Poetto is the beach of the City of Cagliari. It's very nice but overcrowded already by locals, so it is not usually recommended to tourists. However, it might be a good place for a walk at night. They are many bars and restaurants on the beach and a nice atmosphere.

The "Golfo di Orosei" is Sardinia at its finest. The gulf is a rocky cliff that hosts some of the most beautiful bays (cale) in Sardinia. Cala Goloritzè, Cala Luna, Cala Sisine, Cala Mariolu are all there.
The bays are not easily accessible, you could take an hike from the top of the cliff to some of them (Cala Goloritzè and Cala Mariolu), but they are not suitable for families, and might be challenging also for adults, especially in the hot days of summer.
To see them all in one day you could rent a motor boat (dinghy) in Santa Maria Navarrese or take an organized trip from there or from Dorgali o Cala Gonone.
