Mt. Charleston is 45 min away from my house but it's worth it because even in summer time, temperature is 30 degree lower than Las Vegas. Perfect summertime getaway. In winter, you can enjoy ski or snowboard at the slop. Also you can view 360 degree of Nevada desert from the vista point which is amazing and spectacular.

It takes an hour to North of Las Vegas but it's really worth for your time if you love nature. Big change that you would encounter herd of rams roaming around in the valley and discover mysterious indigenius Native American's ancient life styles. highly recommended.
