Food scene

One of the legendary restaurants in Stone Town, Zanzibar, that serves local Zanzibari food, is Lukmaan Restaurant. There is a lot of different dishes and their all in display so that you can look and choose. I recommend to get a table and then point at the dishes that you wanna have, someone in the staff will then serve it, I found it faster and easier than ordering at the table. Staff is nice and fast! Good prices! Delicious food and fresh smoothies 馃構

This worn but popular place in the old British consulate building has seating inside and outside on a deck under trees directly on the beach. Food is available lunchtime and evening, but mainly this is the place to come for drinks, especially at sunset or after dark when the setting is delightful by candlelight. There's often live music too.
