Hotham as the locals call it is 32km and an hours drive away.
The Highest road in Austrailia with spactacular mountain views and scenery. The Razorback walk to Mt Feathertop is one of the great walks of Victoria with many shorter walks and snowsports from the Hotham Village. The Dinner Plain Trail is a shared trail for walkers/bikes that is 13km long and reasonably flat by mountain standards. The General Store is an award winning Hotel with great meals and mountain views. Danny's lookout is one of the best mountain sunsets you can see.
If going up during winter you will need to hire Wheel Chains for snow driving. Hoys Skis next door are the local chain hire shop and operate the chain fitting service on the way up the mountain foir their customers.

For alpine waterfalls, make your way to Mount Buffalo Road for Eurobin Falls-Ladies Bath Falls 1.5-kilometre return walk. Taking in the Lower Eurobin Falls and the Ladies Bath Falls, you can take a dip is summer. Drive to the top of the mountain and visit the Buffalo Chalet and The Gorge, a 100ft clifftop lookout The Lake Circuit walk around Lake Catani is beautiful and an easy. You can also hire a kayak on the lake or a Toboggan at Dingo Dell Café and go for a slide in winter.
